Kim Kardashian V. Khloe Kardashian — Booty Battle In Skintight Dresses

Image
Getty/SplashNews Kim Kardashian’s derriere is just as famous as she is, but her younger sis Khloe Kardashian is serving up some serious competition with her junk in the trunk — it’s a sister booty battle! Who do you think has the most bodacious backside? I guess you can say it runs in their genes. Both  Kim  and  Khloe Kardashian have quite the booty — and they love  showing off their assets . Even while Kim is pregnant with her second child, she can’t stop  showing off her curves  in skintight dresses…and that’s just what she did at the MTV Video Music Awards in LA on Aug. 30, where the expecting reality star stepped out in a skintight Balmain dress that  put her assets  on full display — especially when she turned around! Kim’s dress featured a lace-up neckline and a form-fitting silhouette, which  showed off her baby bump  and her backside. Although Khloe skipped out on attending the glam award show, she seemed to be channel...

Sony's Xperia Z5 family includes the world's first 4K smartphone

Image
To say that Sony's mobile division has had a tough time lately would be an understatement. As the company puts out half-hearted efforts like the Z3 and Z3+, sales have been dropping steadily. We're now at the point where  Sony is losing more than $1 million per day  just keeping the division going. Something has to change. Sony  has  to take smartphones seriously, and this is its attempt to do just that. Meet the Xperia Z5 family, which includes the world's first 4K phone display, "next-generation" cameras and some tiny, tiny fingerprint scanners. GALLERY | 45 PHOTOS Xperia Z5 family + See all 45/ For what seems like the first time in ages, Sony is announcing a trio of flagship phones at the same time. From big to small, we've got the Z5 Premium, the Z5 and the Z5 Compact. The trio share many attributes, but thanks to one spec, the Premium is by far the most interesting. Land Rover's 'Transparent Trailer' makes your horse box invisible

Image
Land Rover doesn't see why towing a caravan or horse box should get in the way of rear visibility. The luxury SUV-maker has created a concept system that shows drivers what's behind them as if the rear-window is free from obstructions. The idea is pretty simple: a camera on the towed object beams images of what's behind it to a display embedded in the vehicle's rear-view mirror. Land Rover already came up with  something similar  that makes hoods "transparent," and this idea is an extension of that. Another camera, and a pressure sensitive mat alerts drivers via SMS or an app, if the cargo (in this case, a horse) moves while in transit, and there are graphic overlays to help with tricky reverse parking. The focus of the "Transparent Trailer" is on Land Rover's equestrian set (there are plans to make the mat spot hoof movements, for example), but the technology could easily be repurposed for any delicate load, or to be useful for those of us ...

'Star Wars Battlefront' multiplayer test starts in early October

Image
You won't have to wait  until November  to find out whether  Star Wars Battlefront 's large-scale online conflicts are all they're cracked up to be. EA and DICE have  announced  that Battlefront 's multiplayer beta will launch in early October for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PCs. This test run will include an epic 40-player Hoth battle, a two-versus-many fight on Tatooine and an as-yet-unexplained Drop Zone mode. At the same time, you should get a Companion Experience mobile app that includes both a card game as well as helper tools for  Battlefront  itself. It sounds like exciting stuff, although here's hoping that EA has learned its lessons from  past betas  -- you don't want to have your childhood dreams crushed by server connection problems.

Google, Microsoft and Netflix team up on free video formats

Image
It's no secret that many tech companies  hate  video formats that are closed, cost money or both -- enough so that they'll  drop popular standards  and  develop their own codecs . There hasn't been a concerted attempt to tackle this problem, however, which is why several industry giants have just  launched  the Alliance for Open Media. Founding members Amazon, Cisco, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Mozilla and Netflix are working on a future video format that should be royalty-free, open to anyone and playable on just about any modern device. It's still extremely early (the group hasn't even said how others can join), but you should hear more about their efforts later this year. While it's not stated, the Alliance is effectively trying to make an end run around MPEG LA, the group that licenses big video formats like H.264 and  H.265 . If the Alliance can create a standard that catches on, it'd eliminate one of the common costs for offering video pl...
